About me
I am currently a floor reporter and bill track researcher at CQ Roll Call. I’m interested in the relationship between policy, politics and procedure, as well as how those three things drive the agendas of individual members of Congress.
I graduated from American University in May 2023 where I studied Journalism and Political Science.
While at American, I was the Editor-in-Chief of The Eagle, AU’s award-winning student-run newspaper. I managed and oversaw the operations of 130 staff members across the News, Life, Sports, Opinion, Online, Copy, Multimedia and Spanish teams. I led the paper to receive the College Media Association’s Apple Award for Best Newspaper in 2023, in addition to several other national and local awards. As an editor, I oversaw major investigations exposing the university’s non-compliance with federal Title IX laws and my university’s distribution of counterfeit KN95 masks during the coronavirus pandemic, a story that received national attention. I was also previously The Eagle’s Managing Editor for News, Administration and Local News Editor, Online Managing Editor and a News Reporter.
As a reporter, I covered everything from local news to the university administration. My reporting on access to Narcan on campus won first place for in-depth reporting at the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards for Region 2 in 2022.
I’ve previously interned for the Durango Herald, where I covered the Colorado Congressional Delegation and federal issues relating to Southwest Colorado.
